Dennis Dixon
This is a tremendous football player that had his senior season cut short by a season ending injury that happened last Thursday night. The injury accusal toke place three weeks ago in their game against Arizona St.. He then further hurt his knee in the game last Thursday against Arizona. I don't think that any one player means as much to there team as he does. once he left the game the field became tilted in one direction towards the Arizona side. The backup quarterback is not able to do the things that Dixon is able to because as ion the first drive of the Arizona game Dixon took a fourth down play and went forty yards for a touchdown. Give all the credit the backup should dissever but the Oregon Ducks are not the same team that was ranked number two in the BCS polls with out Dixon.

I agree Dixon was pretty much their whole team. I don't think Oregon had that great of a team, they were a solid team but Dixon definitely made them title contenders. Without Dennis Dixon Oregon dropped drastically in a lot of the polls and their team got considerably worse as the season went on. Its ashame because you could see Dixon's emotions in that game after he got hurt knowing that their team was in trouble.
