So the Chicago Bulls lose their seasoning opener but they are still looking forward to a potentially successful season. They still have a young but talented team and now have legitimate playoff experience. Chicago fans are excited to see what they can do this season and how far they will go. Right now Chicago has some minor injuries it has to overcome but these injuries should not slow the Bulls down too much. The Bulls will still be a perimeter team because they still do not have a center that can dominate the paint. Shooting the three point shot does get the crowd going. Players like Nocioni and Kurt Heinrich always shoot the long ball and players like Ben Gordon are better at driving the ball. Trade rumors might upgrade the Bulls offense.
Rumors of trading Kobe Bryant are strong and will be a good addition to the team. But is the trade worth losing a good young player such as Lual Deng. Kobe Bryant is an amazing player in many aspects of the game but he is known to be selfish and to bring the team down. He may cost more than what he is worth. The question is, do the Chicago Bulls need Kobe to get to the NBA finals and bring a championship home to Chicago. Some say that Chicago should not break up the team because of their good chemistry and sometime down the road they will be able to win a championship. Right now the players can not worry about the future but need to concentrate on the game ahead.

Wikipedia
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page
I know we talked about this a while ago, but I feel the need to bring it up again. I don’t know about the rest of you, but I am absolutely sick of Wikipedia. I understand the concept for the purpose of Wikipedia. The creator wanted to make a place where intelligent people can go to share their knowledge with the world. Unfortunately, the creator did not know what a bad idea and impossible task this was.
Wikipedia is a place where you can go to find information on absolutely everything you can possibly think of. It can range from historical events, like the Civil War, to random stupid stuff like paper. What impresses me the most is even the stupid stuff will have detailed, in depth description and analysis. The problem with this site is that anybody who has access to the internet can change the information at any point. How is this a good idea? This turns the entire website into a giant waste of time. It’s not only stupid to base your own opinion or knowledge off of a random source, it is not even allowed for citation purposes in class rooms.
I understand that I am going off on a random tangent, but every time I look something up on an internet search engine, a Wikipedia link is within the first 5 choices. If I want to learn about something, I was actual, concrete facts I can use. Not somebody’s random opinion or idea of how things are.

Laundry in the Dorms
How many people hate doing their laundry at their dorms? Personally I don’t ever look forward to doing mine! First of all, I have to carry everything all the way down to the basement. After dragging my dirty clothes down all the stairs I come to find out that ALL the washers are full. I sit there for a while just frustrated waiting for one to open! I look in some of the washers that are out of time and they are still full with people’s clothes in them. It makes me so mad, I mean come on people; take your stuff out of the washers when it’s done! I hate it. Then finally when one opens, I can’t fit even half of my clothes in, so I have to wait once again for another one to open.
The dryers are even worse! After sitting there for another hour as your clothes are “drying” I open the dryer up to find out that all my clothes are still wet! So ok, I put them in for another cycle. After the second time they are still damp! I get so frustrated! Now to avoid that problem I split up all my clothes into three different dryers.
I am so glad that I live so close to home. I go home a lot just to do my laundry. If I had to do my laundry at school every week I think I would go insane!

Racism
This seems to amaze me every time I hear about something that is racist. Now anyone can correct me if I'm wrong, but the following clip kind of shows where I am coming from. Just to put it out there, I am not racist, but this one topic gets to me.
There are groups for Black-American Studies or even certain sororities or fraternitys for Black-Americans. There are Black rally's in the streets even on campus. I see people wearing Black pride sweaters or even t-shirts once in awhile while I am walking to class.
Now, if white people started to have a White-American study or certain sororities or fraternities for whites, or have rallys, and wear white pride apparell. Certain cultural groups would consider that racist and take to offense. But, we most white people do not take to offense of other groups being represented in their own way.
The following clip goes to the extreme of Black-Americans getting offended by dummy nooses being hung around for the celebration of Halloween. The nooses and dummies that were hung up were clearly white looking dummies. I do not know how any Black-Americans could have got offended by this and thinking they were representing black people. Decorations like this have been around for quite some time now and it's all coming out about certain decorations around this time becoming offensive.

PDA!
Public display of Affection bothers me. I don't like it when couples are all over each other in public. It doesn't bother me when couples hold hands, hug, or a little kiss. I totally understand that, but I hate when people make out in public. It happens way more than it should. Over the past weekend, I went to the University of Wisconsin, Madison. My friend adam brought his new girlfriend. She seemed like a really nice girl, but everyone was annoyed that they were constantly making out. We went to a party and they were in the corner kissing, we went to dinner and they were making out during dinner! Someone started to taking pictures of them at the restaurant. It was embarressing. I think that this was unusual for how old they are. Both of them were 19, usually PDA is for middle schoolers. I'm sure that many of you have been to a high school football game and in the middle school section you see many little boys and girls kissing. Many middle schools have problems monitoring PDA. I don't think that this behavior is healthy. For my friend Adam and his new girlfriend many people we offended by them. We were embarressed to bring them places. If you are someone who does PDA, please wait to show affection until you are in a privite area.
If you are interested in learning about what other people think about PDA go to

Free and Legal Music!!
Did you guys receive the email about http://www.ruckus.com/? The email was sent to your niu email. Ruckus is a website where college students can download free music. This site was created because of all the illegal music downloading. Anyway, ruckus has a huge selection of all types of music. To get started, first you have to register and install the program onto your computer. These steps are easy and fast; the whole process took me about ten minutes. Once you have ruckus installed, you can search and download the free music. It's pretty cool but there's a twist. You cannot transfer music to ipods or burn it onto a CD. Those who own ipods are probably upset about this, right? I know I was, but hey, it's free. At least now you have more music to listen to, in your dorm. It sure beats the music from these radio stations.
