enviroment

The environment is a vital part in every body’s lives. Sadly, today, the environment is being misused and abused. Many corporations and businesses are dumping waste into our waters and polluting our air. There was a story on the news the other day where a business wanted to dump large amounts of a chemical into Lake Michigan. This chemical was not proven to be harmful to humans in small doses but it is definitely harmful to the fish.
If we as humans keep destroying our environment we will end up destroying ourselves. Killing off the fish in Lake Michigan will mess up the economy and many fishermen’s lives. Examples like this are happening everyday. Factories are releasing smoke and toxins in the air continuously along with the exhaust coming from our own cars. We can all see our environment breaking down between the littering in the streets and the smoke in the air.
It is not a surprise the Global Warming will come about because of our pollution. Not only are we hurting the environment we are hurting ourselves and the other creatures that live on this earth. Many animals are losing their homes and becoming extinct because we are tearing down the forests along with their homes. Scientists say that if we had not cut down the rainforest we would have already found the cure for cancer. With all the destruction we are causing we have lost many species of plants and animals.
People in general tend to only care about what they want and take it out on the environment. Corporations will do anything for a dollar even if it means cutting down the forest or polluting the air. If everyone can do the little things to keep or environment that we live in safe we will all save the Earth.

Exercising!

I am so glad we have a very convienent rec center to go to for free. Even though we get enough exercise walking to and from classes, we could always use the extra exercise on some spare time. They even have the basketball, tennis, volleyball, ping pong, and racketball courts. I personally like the tennis courts. All of the courts are kept clean. If you do not own any balls or any kinds of rackets, you are able to rent anything as long as you have a one card. They also have a locker room for your convience. The only negative part about the rec center is the shortage on machinery.
They have the outing center and recreation activities that everyone is welcome to. Camping or going canoing are some activities that are always interesting for a weekend adventure.
So, on your spare time you should go cruise around the center and try some of the services out!

Chemistry is a Killer

Does anyone else have that one class that you wish you were not in! For me its Chemisty! I feel like any spare time i have I am studying or reading about chemistry. I study weeks in advacne for tests, and I feel like I can understand it but then the test comes and I can't pass it! It is very stressful and my life would be much easier with out it. I don't understand that if everyone is doing bad on the test why the professors can't do something about it! But one thing I have learned from the class is to never give up. I want to continue in the class rather than drop it! I feel that if i drop it than I am not pushing myself to be a better student! I don't know if I am the only one feeling this way but for all those who are having a hard time with a class hang in there, we just have to make it through the semester.
