Quarterback Switch

The Chicago Bears made the decision to switch quarterbacks earlier this week due to the poor play of quarterback Rex Grossman. This is a decision that took way to long to make and ended up causing the bears two losses. This is definitely the right decision because not only has Rex come dangerously close to ruining the 2007-2008 season only three weeks into the year, but he is also the reason the bears lost this past season in the super bowl.
The only reason that Rex has made it this far into the season is because of the amazing defense that the bears have. Not even Rex Grossman can lose a game when the defense shuts out the opponent on a consistent basis. Lovie Smith was wrong by keeping Rex in as Quarterback because this eventually took toll on the bears deffense and now they are paying the price. Odds are then when the defense is on the field for almost 75% of the game that they are more likely to injury. Now that six of the original 11 starters on defense are injured the bears are not only going to be weak on offense, but maybe on defense now too. This is all to be blamed on Rex, because when you look at the stats Grossmans stats it is obvious that he is the reason for all of the bears loses, not only this season, but all of last seasons loses too.
