Free and Legal Music!!

Did you guys receive the email about http://www.ruckus.com/? The email was sent to your niu email. Ruckus is a website where college students can download free music. This site was created because of all the illegal music downloading. Anyway, ruckus has a huge selection of all types of music. To get started, first you have to register and install the program onto your computer. These steps are easy and fast; the whole process took me about ten minutes. Once you have ruckus installed, you can search and download the free music. It's pretty cool but there's a twist. You cannot transfer music to ipods or burn it onto a CD. Those who own ipods are probably upset about this, right? I know I was, but hey, it's free. At least now you have more music to listen to, in your dorm. It sure beats the music from these radio stations.

I have Ruckus. I really enjoy it, I'm actually listening to it right now. There are many things I like about Ruckus, but I don't like how I can't put Ruckus music onto my Ipod without spending money. It also doesn't have songs that I want to downloud. Although, you're right, It is free and legal.

I love this handy music database..lol. Even though I use itunes for most of my music to go onto my ipod, I like this since we can download a song in an instance to see if we like the song or whole cd.
And the best part is, it's free!
I was able to download Halloween music for a little get together in my room and it worked perfectly since I didn't have to buy anything and I can just delete the songs when I am finished with them.
You can even create your own playlist.

I downloaded Ruckus the moment I got to school in August. I love it! Ruckus has all the music one could ever want! It’s a really good program because you can even download full albums right when they come out. I don’t like how they make it to where you can’t possibly transfer the songs to your i-pod or a cd. I was one that used to download music illegally through LimeWire, but being at school I will be kicked off the internet for doing it. Having my car at school with no radio stations that come in, I like to make new cds to listen to every once in a while. For the past few months I have been listening to the same cds over and over again! Pretty much the only good thing about Ruckus is that you can always have music playing on your laptop no matter where you are and it is all for free!

I have had Ruckus since the summer. I didn't learn about it from NIU, the geek squad guy at best buy told me about it. He had a friend at NIU and warned me that if I had limewire then I would get a huge fine. Ruckus is good, but I'm actually not a big fan of it. It doesn't have a lot of songs. It only has albums, not singles. Also, even if it has the album it may not let you download it anyway. Ruckus has a lot and it beats having nothing, but I would prefer to have my Limewire back.
